| First wireless stereo earphones now available in the European market |
Music enjoyment in high-end quality: the Sennheiser MX W1 wireless stereo earphones are now available in stores throughout Europe. The audio specialist introduced the MX W1 at CES 2008 as the industry’s first true wireless stereo earphones based on Kleer™ wireless audio technology.
“We’re thrilled to be the first audio vendor in the world to bring premium quality true wireless earbuds to the retail channel,” said Stijn Jans, Managing Director at Sennheiser Consumer Electronics, Singapore. “The Kleer technology, which features lossless audio transmission and therefore provides the same audio quality as a wired headphone, is what allowed Sennheiser to bring such a product to market.” The digital radio transmission technology guarantees outstanding sound quality. “Packed” into a small transmitter and two separate earbuds, the MX W1 combines this transmission technology with completely new developed Sennheiser transducers. The twist-to-fit system keeps the earphones securely and comfortably in your ear and a transport case with integrated batteries charges the earphones even on the go.
“Our customers and partners expect Sennheiser to provide the most technologically advanced audio products in the world,” said Product Manager Sven Wilhelmsen. As earphones without annoying cables have been high up the wish list of technology-minded music fans for quite some time, the MX W1 is definitely living up to these expectations. “From the sleek, untethered ‘twist-to-fit’ earpieces and smallest rechargeable coin cell battery in the world, to the crystal-clear uncompressed CD-quality stereo sound and extremely high interference immunity, the MX W1 represent the best that Sennheiser and Kleer can offer to consumers in wireless earphone technology and design,” said Levent Gun, President and CEO of Kleer about the wireless earphones. The MX W1 is now available in stores throughout Europe.
