Show Luo gets in rhythm with Sennheiser
Taiwanese artiste Show Luo lives up to his name when it comes to giving his fans a great time at his concerts. In the midst of his third concert series, the 30-year-old, who has spent half his life in showbiz, has audiences in his sell-out concerts charmed with a combination of sleek dance moves, strong vocals and top-notch audio equipment from Sennheiser.

Born to entertainer parents – his father a host and his mother a singer – Luo honed his musical interest and talent from a young age. He learnt to play the drums when he was just three and participated in a singing contest at seven years old. The versatile artiste is not only comfortable on the drums, piano and guitar, he also wears many hats professionally – singer, host, actor, model, songwriter and composer, just to name a few. The affable host of 100% Entertainment on Taiwan’s GTV, who has won numerous vocal accolades, also sang the Mandarin version of the theme song for Disney’s High School Musical 2 in 2007. Yet for someone for whom singing and dancing count as second nature, the tour around Asia and beyond – with stops in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and the United States – demanded the best of Luo’s showmanship as well as 100% dedication from the crew. What made the concerts stand out even more was quality audio support and equipment, the priceless element that the artiste himself was incredibly pleased with. |
“We eventually put our bets on Sennheiser’s SKM 5200 paired with the MD 5235 dynamic capsule as the combination was versatile for the different sets and consistently provided well-balanced yet crisp vocals,” said Chen. “I do not have to fret about equalizing or worry about distortion.”

For numbers that required heavy dance moves, the crew relied on the HSP 4 head-worn microphone and SK 5212 bodypack transmitter, he noted. “The HSP 4 has a great fit and delivers superb audio quality comparable to a handheld transmitter even during fast tempo songs.” “And as usual, we had awesome support from Sennheiser – the expertise and advice the company has provided throughout the years has been invaluable,” added Chen. “Concert tours are all hard work, but at the end of the day, working with and being in the company of likeminded professionals make the whole experience an enjoyable one!” |
