Sennheiser at prolight+sound: product highlights and events

Frankfurt, 6 April 2011 – Audio specialist Sennheiser will be demonstrating the company’s latest microphone solutions at Stand C 10 A in Hall 6.1 at the prolight+sound 2011 trade fair. The highlights include newly developed wireless microphone systems transmitting at a frequency of 1800 MHz, the MK 4 large-diaphragm microphone and new products in the area of installed sound. And music is not neglected – the band Eyetones will be performing at the stand every day, and a live mixing event will take place on the PRG stage.

Products
With the systems from the evolution wireless ew 100 G3-1G8 series, Sennheiser will be showcasing the first wireless system to transmit signals in the 1800 MHz frequency band. This band has been approved in many European countries for the wireless transmission of audio signals. The systems will be available from summer 2011. The MK 4 true condenser large-diaphragm microphone will be celebrating its European premiere and a microphone study entitled “Concept Tahoe“ will be providing an insight into the future of microphones. The latest installed sound products will also be on show – these include the MEG 14-40 B and MEG 14-40-L B gooseneck microphones and the ME series withs white products for ceiling installation. And for the ADN discussion system there will be a new system update and a preview of the ADN power supply unit.

The Eyetones will be performing daily at the Sennheiser stand (C 10 A) in Hall 6.1

Music and events The band Eyetones will be keeping visitors to the stand entertained on the Sennheiser stage in Hall 6.1 with a mixture of a cappella pop and clever drum interludes. The band centred on the “living drum machine” Peter Wehrmann will be performing daily at 11.00 am, 1.00, 3.00 and 5.00 pm.

The Association of Professional Wireless Production Technologies (APWPT), which is supported by Sennheiser, will be providing information on Friday, 8th April, about the current situation with regard to frequency migrations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The APWPT seminar will take place from 9.45 to 11.15 am in the “Frequenz 2” room in the Portalhaus.

Friday evening will be dedicated to the live mixing event, which all interested parties are most welcome to attend. The Soundcheck show will kick off in Hall 2.0 (the PRG Hall) on Friday at 6.00 pm. The band 4LYN will be hooked up with microphones by experienced FOH and monitor engineers and mixed for the show. Experimentation is allowed, as is talking shop…
