Sennheiser is the clear market leader in the European headphones market
According to the latest results published by GFK Retail and Technology, Sennheiser is the clear market leader in the headphones sector in Europe (EU-16). Sennheiser has maintained its leading position with a value-based share of 22.2% and has achieved a significant increase in growth. The audio specialist grew by 10.1% compared to the first six month of the previous year.
“The customer-oriented refinement of our product portfolio was the right strategic decision and has been largely responsible for this positive development," said Volker Bartels, Speaker of the Executive Management Board of Sennheiser. While demand for in-ear headphones for use with MP3 players, such as Apple iPods, or with iPhones has remained at a constantly high level in Europe, there is a clear trend towards wired mini and traditional headphones as a reflection of fashion and lifestyle.
At IFA, Sennheiser is presenting many new headphone models, from attractive street style headphones to digital high-end wireless headphones. As a premium brand, Sennheiser offers superb sound in a fashionable design.
